I made a cake this weekend for a family dinner. It was a yellow cake with a strawberry filling and buttercream icing. I'm not happy that the layers are showing, but overall it was a good cake. Guessing from the "after" picture it must have tasted ok!

ReplyDeleteHappened to me before. Let your cake settle after you crumb coat it and before you final frost. Especially with a fruit filling you cant overfill. Important if you use fondant to because the weight of the fondant can cause cake to settle and your fondant sag! looks awesome and delicious too!
