It's finally summer, and with that comes birthday season in my family (we have 14 birthday's to celebrate in the summer)! This first is for Patti (Happy Birthday!!) They (she and her husband) spend the summer in their pool, so I thought I'd recreate their favorite past time for them :) The cake is a chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting. The "pool water" is piping gel and all other decorations are fondant.

Go Team Go!
I did a cake and cupcakes for the end of season party for a friends T Ball team. They were the A's and wanted a baseball hat for the parents and baseball cupcakes for all the little people. The hat is yellow cake with buttercream icing covered in fondant, and 1/2 of the cupcakes are yellow cake and 1/2 chocolate cake with buttercream icing. Hopefully the cake was a fun ending to a great season!

Cinco De Mayo
Wow...I'm on a roll with posts tonight (I didn't realize how behind I was in posting!)
I have been waiting for Cinco De Mayo for a while now, as I had found a Margarita cupcake that I REALLY wanted to make. Finally it came, and I was not disappointed!!! These cupcakes are a white cake (the cake has tequila and margarita mix in it) with a lime buttercream icing...they were so yummy!!!
Packaged and ready to go (my husband took some to work)

Baby Boom!
Apparently there is quite the baby boom going on...because I have had quite a few "baby shower" cakes and "welcome to the world" cupcakes to make!
The first is a cake for a baby shower a friend was throwing her sister. She said she wanted teal and polka dots...so that's what she got! The cake is an 8 inch, 2 layer yellow cake with buttercream icing and fondant decorations.
Next a friend had a beautiful baby girl (Welcome to the world Zelda!) and I wanted to make cupcakes to celebrate! The cupcakes are yellow cake with almond buttercream icing and some fondant decorations.

Easter Cakes
We typically host Easter lunch at our house, and this year we were expecting quite a crowd (we had 18 people--kids included)! I knew I wanted to make a cake and thought one "might" be enough...but I also wanted to try the "Martha Stewart ruffle cake" so I decided to make 2! The first cake is a 2 layer lemon cake with a lemon buttercream icing, fondant flowers and bunny and chocolate candy eggs.
The second cake is a 6 inch 2 layer chocolate cake with buttercream icing and chocolate candy eggs
